Our Past
Wheezy FDCH
Wheezy was my first dog and introduced me to dog
sports. I adopted Wheezy from WCVM after she had a
heart surgery to correct a heart defect present from birth.
Only about 10% of dogs with her condition go on to live
a normal life. Wheezy lived for over 10 years so she
definitely beat the odds! Wheezy was a flyball champion
and loved agility, although we never competed. She was
an outstanding swimmer. People often compared her to an
otter in the water! It was while I was competing with
Wheezy at a flyball tournament that I met and fell in love
with aussies.

Brie was my second aussie and first show dog.
Unfortunately severe health issues (hip dysplasia)
shortened the life of this remarkable little girl.

Her Journey's Just Begun
Don't think of her as gone away--
her journey's just begun,
life holds so many facets--
this earth is only one.
Just think of her as resting
from the sorrows and the tears
in a place of warmth and comfort
where there are no days and years.
Think how she must be wishing
that we could know today
how nothing but our sadness
can really pass away.
And think of her as living
in the hearts of those she touched...
for nothing loved is ever lost
and she was loved so much.
